WIKIREADER KEEPS WIKIPEDIA HANDY WITH OUT INTERNET CONNECTION

It’s astounding how many arguments get solved by hopping on the internet and going straight to Wikipedia. It informs you on all the random bits of knowledge you never knew you needed. Of course you can’t always just hop on the website to check on that information. Especially if you don’t have a smart phone of any kind. Well for those that want to have access to that knowledge without being connected to the internet, now you can have Wikipedia with you at all times.

Just carry around the WikiReader and it’ll let you learn all the useless knowledge you’ll never need. You don’t have to ever be connected to the internet to look up the information either. Which means you can even learn when you’re far away from the rest of civilization. To keep it updated you’ll have to pay a $29 subscription fee to Wikipedia. Then to purchase the little handheld device itself it’ll cost you $99. It only has three actual buttons and then a touchscreen to handle the rest of the typing. It requires two AAA batteries to keep up and running. The device has become officially available as of today.

FLO TV TURNS TV INTO HANDHELD WONDER

Guess the TV is going to hang around for a little while longer, albeit this time it will take a much more personal route, coming in the form of the FLO TV Personal TV which will allow TV fans to view their favorite news, live telecasts of sports, children’s programming as well as wholesome entertainment on a singular, dedicated device meant specifically for mobile TV viewing. No idea on whether such a device will beat out the iPod touch and other portable media players, since you can watch what you want to on those devices as long as you have the right file loaded on them, while subjecting yourself to the rigorous setups of TV channel programming leaves your daily schedule at the mercy of the programmers. No idea on pricing, but it ought to be out later in time for the mad holiday season rush.

INTUOS4 TABLET FROM WACOM

Wacom has made some very cool Professional Pen Tablets in the past, such as the Bamboo Series These Bamboo tablets recently got an upgrade with multitouch capacity, but even though the Intuos4 doesn’t have that feature, it still deserves a spotlight.

The Intuos4 has a similar layout as the Bamboo, except the controls are on the side rather than the top. These controls include user-defined ExpressKeys as well as a multifunction Touch Ring that makes it easy to use functions like zooming and other shortcuts.

The Intuos4 is designed for artists on the computer. Its pen feels very natural, like you were using a pen on paper. I can honesty say that I don’t have 2048 levels of pen pressure sensitivity for precise pressure control.

The Intuos4 comes in several sizes. The Small has six keys plus a 24 square inches of drawing space for $229. All other sizes have eight keys. The Medium has 48.5 square inches of drawing room, and costs $349. The Large has 102.5 square inches of drawing space and costs $469. The Intuos4XL has a whopping 218.4 square inches of drawing, for $789.

35MM FILM SCANNER WITH LCD ND SD CARD SLOT

Film scanner for 35mm negatives, slides and roll film. Turn your old 35mm film into modern digital photos. With this new stand alone film scanner, now you do not even need a computer to convert your old 35mm pictures into digital files!

Are you an old time photo hobbyist? Or perhaps your parents or grandparents have a rich collection of old film that you would like to bring into the digital age. Well, instead of taking those old 35mm slides and negatives and paying $2 each to have them scanned by the local shop, now you can do it yourself for a fraction of the cost! With the G111 35mm Film Scanner with LCD and SD Card Slot you can digitize all those precious memories at the comfort of your desk.

Why would you want to digitize old film and slides? Lets face it, what is the point of taking beautiful photos if you cannot share them with people. Whether you need to give some archived photos to a business client or to your family members, it is very inconvenient to develop your old film rolls yourself or take them to the local photo shop every time you need some new prints. Now in less than 4 seconds per picture, you can turn any old 35mm photo into a 4.2MP rich color image. This is the quickest, cheapest and most convenient way to share old pictures!

There is an additional benefit of using the G111 to digitize those old photos - safety. If you lost those old 35mm photos due to fire, theft, or simple age decomposition, they are lost forever, which would be devastating. However, once you digitize them into JPG files they can be copied, moved, duplicated freely with a simple click of a mouse. This is really a small investment in both convenience and safety for all those irreplaceable photos.

If high quality and speedy film scanning wasn't enough, this model film scanner also has an LCD viewscreen plus TV OUT which allows you to view the film you are working on as well as photos saved on the inserted SD card. With a one button touch you can do a slideshow review of all your newly saved photos for more efficient work or entertainment.

The new G111 35mm Film Scanner with LCD and SD Card Slot simply is the best way to turn your old roll film, slides and negatives into new photos.

  • Scanner for 35mm film, slides, negatives
  • Stand alone unit (no computer needed)
