Your typical WiFi detector will only show the presence of a signal and relative signal strength - not very helpful. When multiple networks are present, the LCD will allow you to scroll through information for each network. Also has these great features...It is..

MIMO OFFERS 7" PORTABLE,USB POWERED SECOND SREEN

you are looking to get some additional screen real estate for your laptop while remaining portable then nothing beats the Lenovo ThinkPad W700. But if that laptop doesn’t fit your needs then you need to find a separate second display that doesn’t sacrifice portability or add too much weight.
Mimo may have the answer with the Mimo Mini 710 7″ portable display. Although not a full-size second screen the widescreen format Mini still offers you a 800×600 resolution, 350cd brightness, 400:1 contrast ratio, and a stand that allows you to sit the monitor higher and in either portrait or landscape mode.
The other good news is you won’t need to carry around a separate plug to power the Mini as it draws all it needs through a USB connection. It is compatible with all versions of Windows and Intel-based Macs. Unfortunately Linux users aren’t catered for meaning some netbook users are losing out here.
The Mimo Mini 710 costs $129.99 to buy and a 740 model is set to be released at the end of this month. The 740 builds on the feature set of the 710 by adding touchscreen capabilities, audio in/out, a webcam, and microphone, and will cost $199.

LG LOTUS IS FASHIONS INSPIRED

If you’re one who prefers form over function, I am pretty sure the LG Lotus cell phone will catch your eye. After all, this is one handset that is the result of a love affair between LG Electronics and fashion designer Christian Siriano. In case that name sounds rather familiar to some of you, that’s because Christian Siriano is the winner of season IV of the reality show known as Project Runway. LG Lotus will be available for preview at the New York City Fashion week from today onwards, aiming to elevate the humble cell phone as some sort of fashion accessory. I thought that place was already taken up by the iPhone 3G, so will this be the new king of the hill?
The LG Lotus is a Sprint exclusive, so those of you who want a piece of the action might have to jump ship if you’re currently attached to a different subscirber. The LG Lotus definitely makes a “distinctive fashion statement”, featuring a full QWERTY keyboard that comes in a clamshell form factor. It takes on a special square shape and will be available in a couple of colors - textured purple or satin black. This will also be one of the initial Sprint devices that boast One Click, a highly-customizable user interface that aims to make texting, Web access, email, Sprint Navigation, Sprint TV, Sprint Music Store and other features a whole lot easier to access.
Just in case you’re wondering whether the international design community thinks this is up to par to go against your thinking that the Lotus is but one man’s wild dream, it has already picked up the Red Dot Design Award, which coincidentally is one of the largest and most renowned design competitions in the world by virtue of the Lotus’ original form factor. Other features that complete this clamshell phone are a 2 megapixel camera with video recording capability, stereo Bluetooth connectivity, music playback with external controls and a microSD memory card slot that is able to handle up to 12GB of storage space. It will hit all Sprint retail channels this October

LOTUS USB WEBCAM WITH LED LIGHT

This is definitely an overly female product, I’m pretty sure there aren’t many men that could stomach having this on their desk. For that matter it would take a special breed of female to handle this bright pink flower webcam. Likely the best candidates to have one of these are the girls that still play with Barbie dolls. Which for the most part, that bunch is far too young to have a webcam. However, if you are or know a female that would adore this webcam, it’s at an affordable price.
The webcam is hidden within the big pink flower and then in addition to that it has several LED lights, a total of 12 LED lights to be specific. Both the light and webcam are on a flexible neck, so you can get the angle just right. The light itself has a separate switch so you can turn it on and off. You can also make sure that it won’t easily be knocked over thanks to the suction cup on the bottom of the webcam’s base.

BRIDGESTONE MAKES ENTRY INTO ELECTRONIC PAPER BUSINESS

Bridgestone Corp will begin its electronic paper (e-paper) business in earnest for electronic book readers, planning to announce the details in July or August 2009.
The company has been developing e-paper by using its proprietary material called "electron powder and granular material." Thus far, it has mass-produced e-paper intended for limited applications such as inventory tags.
This time, Bridgestone developed e-paper suited for electronic book readers and plans to start shipments. In addition, the company will prepare a development kit to market the e-paper to a wide range of users including device manufacturers.
The newly-developed e-paper, when its size is A4, can rewrite the screen in 0.8 seconds, which is ten times faster than the company's previous e-paper. So, it realizes a faster screen refresh speed.
"For previous applications, including inventory tags, our customers did not require a fast screen refresh speed," Bridgestone said. "However, it is an important capability for e-book readers."
According to the company, the faster response speed enabled to operate the e-paper without feeling a sense of discomfort even if a touch panel is combined.
The faster screen refresh speed was realized by changing the driving method, not by improving the e-paper material. Specifically, the pattern of applying voltage was optimized to "reduce waste," Bridgestone said.
The company will also offer a colored version of the e-paper by combining the black-and-white e-paper with an RGBW-type color filter based on a glass substrate.
